THOUGHTS FOR THE NEW YEAR

hello there,

been away for a while.

spent sometime cleaning up after the holidays,

spending time with the kids, and most recently

working on a few projects before my missionary son will arrive home,

in 30 days and counting.

at this time of year,

one seems to reflect on themselves

and what could be done to be a better person.

always the need to lose a few pounds(especially after eating for the month of december),

but i recently sat down and read the January issue of Real Simple

and came across these two thoughts that i would like to share.

"wealth consists not in having great possessions but in having few wants"

i have been blessed in my lifetime, and i would like to adapt this thought to my life

when asked the question, what will you do differently this year? i loved this comment;

Smile more. Pray more. Complain less.

i would also like to add this to my list for 2010

as you all start anew may you enjoy the journey

Get ready for another Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas extravaganza! Singer and songwriter Natalie Cole and famed historian David McCullough will take the stage with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square on December 10-13 for "The Wondrous Gift of Christmas." Mack Wilberg, Music Director of the Choir and Orchestra along with Ryan Murphy, Associate Director, will conduct these concerts which promise to follow in the tradition of the highlight of the season.
